Time Capsule

My body of work, “Time Capsule,” explores an RV that has been in my family for generations. It has been used as an escape – a way to travel, a temporary home when a new house was being constructed, and a symbol of the adventurous lifestyle I once dreamt of living. But now, all those glory days have come to an end. As the process of aging into the ultimate end of its life as a vehicle unfolds, it sits quietly in a field, with the natural world reclaiming it as it slowly falls apart. It remains filled with stories and relics that would only spark memories to a certain and select few. This is the story of a box with four wheels – a part of the highs and lows of my family that now sits, slowly disappearing into its own oblivion.
